Warm water bubbles up near Johnson Bridge, which crosses the South Fork of the Boise River. The pools are user built with gravel and rocks filling the bottoms.
The Bridge Hot Springs is walking distance to Abbot Campground.
Baumgartner Hot Springs is a natural pool in Idaho's Sawtooth National Forest. It offers a serene and relaxing escape with a concrete pool and an average temperature of 111℉.

Rocky Bar is the perfect family day trip, just a 30-minute drive from Featherville. Founded in 1863, Rocky Bar could have been the territory's capital.

Once a bustling mining town in the late 1800s and early 1900s; however, as the mines dried up, the town slowly began to decline. Today, Atlanta is a ghost town with only a few residents remaining.
Visitors can still see the remnants of the town's once-thriving past, including abandoned buildings, old mining equipment, and a cemetery.
Rooms Fill Up Fast
Steel Mountain is a rare find in the Boise Mountain area as it offers true rock climbing routes to it's summit. Despite its impressive features, it receives minimal trad climbers each year. There are also interesting landmarks, such as a lookout tower remnant and an old hermit's shack nearby. Learn More
Two Point Mountain at 10,124' is the highest peak in the Boise Mountains and offers scenic views of the Sawtooth Wilderness Range. Access to the mountain is limited and involves crossing Bear Creek. The SSE slopes of Two Point have an easy ridge for scrambling.
The Trinity Mountains offer several ridgelines to walk and scramble with elevations over 9,000 feet. The face of Rainbow Ridge drops several hundred feet into a lake basin, but being so remote few have investigated for rock climbing.
All these backpacking and rock climbing areas are about 30 miles to the trailhead from the Hayhurst Bed & Breakfast.
Rockhounding is a fun and exciting at Dismal Swamp despite the name. You can find smoky quartz crystals by digging with basic equipment. While most of the crystals are small, occasionally larger ones can be found.
There are many holes dug by others where you can continue to find smoky quartz and topaz.
Dismal Swamp is about 30 minutes northwest of Rocky Bar ghost town. You can easily explore both in a day!

We love Hayhurst! They have amazing breakfast. Amazing access to the surrounding area where you can water ski, go boating, hiking, fishing, atv adventures, etc. We come back again and again.

Stayed in the Wolf Den room this weekend. Very clean and beautiful hotel. Plenty of amenities here. Hot tub, sauna, adult only room. Highly recommend this Bed & Breakfast for your next get away.

Just spent 4 nights here. Our snowmobile club rented the entire place. We had plenty of things to do after rides. Service and food were great. Some of the best snowmobiling in Idaho!

Had an amazing time. Will be back again. Wonderful breakfast and dinner. Clean beautiful room with a view of the sunrise over the reservoir in the morning. Sauna and hot tub were a definite plus!
